AGENCE FRANCE-PRESSE, Denmark has sold ten French-made unmanned drone aircraft to Canada for just one tenth of their original cost, the Danish defense ministry said in a statement to parliament on Aug. 30.
The Scandinavian country ordered 10 of the Sperwer drones in 2002 at a cost of 425 million kroner (57 million euros, $73 million) but are selling them on for just 40 million kroner after a string of problems hit the aircraft, Defense Minister Soeren Gade said in a statement.
A total of 384 hours flying time had been planned between 2002 and 2004 but the drones, supplied by France
