RIAN, Russian Armed Forces are ready for the winter period, Russian Defence Minister Sergey Ivanov disclosed to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday in the Kremlin.
“The Army meets the winter in an organised way, just like the last year,” Sergey Ivanov said.
5,500 boilers, 153,000 various military purpose buildings, 28,500 dwelling houses, 172,000 kilometres of engineering systems and 10,000 of sewerage facilities are ready for the winter period, Sergey Ivanov reported to Vladimir Putin.
“I have every reason to say that just like the last year there would be no emergency situations in this sphere at the objects of the Russian Defence Ministry,” the Minister said.
Special damage control brigades have been formed in case of a possible emergency situation, Ivanov noted. Moreover, the brigades will be also ready to render assistance to the civil organisations in the sphere of the Housing and Communal Sector, Sergey Ivanov stressed.
