Defencetalk.com, Recently a “news report” appeared on pakdef.info website. A self declared authority on Pakistani defence issues. It sighted forecast international as a source of the report that PAF was buying 44 rafales from France. DefenceTalk.com went out to confirm if such reports were actually published at forecast international. Phone calls were made to france office and US offices of forecast international, emails were sent and we were told that forecast international NEVER published such reports. Please check this thread for more info:

Later, we received this email from editor of the forecast international:
“Fieldmarshal” posted an item September 8 in the Military Aviation Forum of Defencetalk.com that prompted the following response:
Forecast International is aware of various articles appearing in Internet sites regarding the possible transfer of Rafale fighter aircraft to Pakistan. These articles erroneously cite Forecast International as the source of this information. Forecast International categorically denies being the source of any information contained within these articles.

Pakdef people need to stop quoting dependable and prestigious sources to make points with the pakistani defence community. It does not serve them right nor does it server Defence communities in general. We need to report the truth and confirm that its actually published before reporting it.
DefenceTalk.com will go out of its way to confirm news reports which it feels are baseless and untrue. Report truth, report confirmed reports so defence and military communities have something solid to talk about and discuss.
Making up false stories and false reports and claiming its from a respected national source is shameful and defencetalk.com demands apology from Pakdef for releasing such erroneous and inaccurate report which has hurt defence communities in general.
Thank You,
