For a group of Search and Rescue Technicians on a training exercise in the Atlantic Ocean off the cost of Canso, Nova Scotia something went terribly wrong.
Three military personnel were killed and four injured early Thursday morning when their CH-149 Cormorant, the primary search and rescue helicopter used by the Canadian Forces, went down.
Military officials in Nova Scotia identified the dead as Sgt. Dwayne Brazill, Master Cpl. Kirk Noel and Cpl. Trevor McDavid.
