Bulgarian Ministry of Defence, The possible implementation of joint armament and equipment projects was on the agenda at the meeting of Minister of Defence Vesselin Bliznakov and Turkish Defence Industry Undersecretary Murad Bayar. The meeting was held within the official visit of Minister Bliznakov to Turkey, which started yesterday.
The Minister of Defence visited the factories of Turkish company TAI in Ankara. The consortium produces 275 F-16 fighters, components for helicopters and aircraft. According to Minister Bliznakov, we have to enable the closer contacts between Bulgarian and Turkish companies in military industry, because Turkey is making progress in high technology, which is prioritized by Bulgaria.
