, Since the first AgustaWestland commercial helicopter, an A119 Koala, was delivered to the prominent Australian transport pioneer Mr. Lindsay Fox of LinFox Group Holdings in September 2000, AgustaWestland has seen sales of its modern range of commercial helicopters take-off in Australasia.
A total of 18 new helicopters have now been delivered and at least 15 more will be delivered in the forthcoming years, including six examples of the AW139, confirming this model as the new benchmark medium twin in the region. The growing sales success is establishing AgustaWestland as a leading supplier of civil helicopters in the Australasian market.
AgustaWestland has already sold more than 30 helicopters in Australia, covering all the commercial product range from the single-engine A119 Koala in utility and corporate configurations, to the AW139 which will soon enter service with the Queensland Government and CHC for EMS/SAR missions. In New Zealand the company has already sold both the Grand and the A119 Koala models as well as the AW139.
