C-130 Hercules
Walk around and tour inside the C-130. Then see it fly and perform an "assault" landing, backing onto the taxi way. For 53 years, the Lockheed C-130 has served with it's original customer, the USAF, not only as a cargo transport, but also with the NAVY and MARINES as a tanker, gun ship, bomber and many other roles. When disaster strikes, C-130's are there delivering humanitarian aid and evacuating casualties. Only the B-52 has served longer by 1 year. And the C-130 holds the record for the longest production run by a military aircraft, still rolling out of the factory as the C-130J. The C-130 can truly claim, as Johnny Cash sung, to have been everywhere, the list of countries not visited by one would be very short indeed. They operate regularly to Antarctica and one has even landed and taken off from an aircraft carrier.
