Rosoboronexport, On 21 August, 2007, the opening day of the 8th International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS 2007 the Rosoboronexport State Corporation and the Republic of Indonesia have signed a protocol on the delivery of 3 Su-27 SKM and 3 Su-30MK2 fighters.
From the Russian side the agreement has been signed by Director General of Rosoboronexport Sergei Chemezov, from Indonesian side – by Indonesia’s Air Vice-Marshal Slamet Prihatino.
This contract is the largest one between Russia and Indonesia for military equipment. According to it from 2008 to 2012 Indonesian Air Force will be provided with Russian-made state-of-the-art military aircraft, capable of undertaking a wide range of defense missions.
The conclusion of the contract between Russia and Indonesia proves the development of the bilateral military-technical cooperation. The Rosoboronexport State Corporation, the sole Russian state intermediary agency for export and import of military and dual-use products, is a long-standing partner of the Republic of Indonesia in the sphere of national security. Rosoboronexport has already delivered to Indonesia Su-30MKI and Su-27SK fighter aircrafts, Mil helicopters, land forces materiel and small arms.
The Rosoboronexport State Corporation marks with satisfaction that military specialists of Indonesia are strongly interested in latest development of Russian aviation industry as well as in those items which proved its reliability in the most difficult conditions of operation all over the world and are very popular among foreign companies.
The Corporation offers the Republic of Indonesia different types of aviation and helicopter technologies. Its unique flight capacity will be demonstrated for the Indonesian delegation during the flying display at MAKS 2007.
