Features
- The 40mm Automatic Gun XK40 was designed to meet the specific operational requirement of Korea army
for KNIFV with improved firepower and operation capability
- The XK40 is to be used for man armament to KIFV with controlled by Fire Control System and has a
capability of anti-air and anti-tank defense.
- The Gun is installed on two-man turret with the command seat on the left and the gunner on the right.
- the Gun has enhanced operated capacities as remote control operation by electric- hydraulic
(manual on emergency), reloading by down-docking of magazine with pumping hoist and reduced
remaining ammunition at the firing stop.
- the magazine holds a total 24rounds(3compartments by 8 rounds) and different rounds types as
APFSDS, MFA(Multi-Function Ammunition) in each compartments. It can be selected a proper ammuniton
types by quick magazine shift depend on mission targets.
- The MFA is setting to a proper function mode at the firing by contactors in feeder and fuze prgrammer.
- The Gun can be aimed and fired by the gunners selecting single shots or automatic with 300rds/min
